Smart Design. Timeless Style. Maximum Functionality.
Grovedale Home Refresh
This Grovedale home needed a bathroom and laundry upgrade that balanced modern aesthetics with practical storage.
By keeping the layout intact, we delivered a cost-effective renovation without compromising style or quality.
The Bathroom
With solid KD hardwood studs behind the old walls, we had a strong foundation to build on. We installed a larger bath with a custom hob, seamlessly aligning it with the shower glass for a sleek, open look. The floor tiles flow effortlessly into the shower, enhancing the sense of space and continuity.
For durability and style, we used classic 6x6 floor tiles and 3x6 wall tiles in a neutral palette, creating an elegant yet timeless feel. A large vanity and expansive 1200x1800 mirror make the space feel more open, while new fixtures and fittings bring a modern touch.

The original bathroom was showing its age. Cracked tiles, outdated fixtures, and a layout that didn’t make the best use of the space meant it was time for a fresh start.

Since the existing layout worked well, we focused on a cost-effective renovation that would maximize impact without unnecessary changes.

Once the old fittings were removed, we installed a larger bath and applied waterproofing throughout. The tiling process began, bringing in fresh, neutral tones.

The new shower screen and modern tapware were fitted, instantly elevating the space. Every detail was chosen to enhance both style and function.

Gloss white wall tiles created a clean, timeless look, making the bathroom feel bright and spacious.

The final touches were in place. A sleek vanity and large mirror helped open up the room, while modern fixtures added a fresh, contemporary feel. This once-dated bathroom was now a stylish and practical retreat.
The Laundry
Despite its size, the original laundry lacked functional storage and workspace. We redesigned it with a tall side cabinet, two overhead cabinets, and a lower cabinet, creating ample room for essentials. A new laminate benchtop now extends over the washer and dryer, maximising workspace and efficiency.
To tie the look together, we continued the 6x6 floor tiles for a seamless flow from the bathroom and added a stacked gloss subway tile splashback to keep the room bright and modern. With upgraded lighting and new power points, this once-dated laundry is now a practical, stylish space.

The old laundry was dark, cluttered, and completely impractical. With so much space available, it had the potential to be something much more functional.

We started by removing all the existing cabinets and flooring, clearing the way for a fresh new design.

With the room stripped back, we installed tile underlay and completed the plumbing and electrical rough-in. This set the foundation for a more efficient and user-friendly layout.

Once the walls were plastered and waterproofing was complete, new cabinetry started going in. Every inch of space was carefully planned to maximize storage and functionality.

Large 600x600mm floor tiles were laid, instantly giving the room a fresh, contemporary feel.

The new benchtop was fitted, extending over the washer and dryer to create a streamlined workspace. A subway tile splashback was installed, adding a modern and stylish touch.

The laundry was finally complete.
